Shutdown of 2G and 3G networks is in full swing at many mobile operators, which may, among other things, lead to some subscribers no longer being able to conduct voice calls. OptiMobile’s OptiSet solution is designed to overcome some of the difficulties that arise when moving users to newer networks.

Operators that put into operation new networks with voice services such as VoLTE and VoWiFi often encounter problems with supporting mobiles of different brands and types with full functionality. As a result of the collaboration with Emblasoft Systems, OptiMobile has now released an application-based service to facilitate subscribers’ migration to 4G and 5G networks.

OptiMobile’s OptiSet solution allows mobile operators to dynamically configure subscribers’ settings, such as APN and IMS parameters for VoLTE and VoWiFi, via an app controlled from an operator portal.

With the launch of the service, OptiMobile enters a phase of tests with selected operators, which will serve to validate and fine-tune the service for all major device manufacturers.

OptiMobiles CTO Lars Olsson comments:
“It is with great pleasure that we see that our collaboration with Emblasoft Systems has resulted in a first product designed to support mobile operators in their shift away from 2G and 3G systems.”

The OptiSet application is available on Google Play. Read more at
