OptiMobile provides a solution that allows mobile telephone subscribers to communicate seamlessly over the available wireless access networks, hence, cellular networks (2G, 3G, 4G/LTE), fixed networks (PSTN) via WLAN/WiFi and WiMax, Internet via WLAN, WiMax. End-users communicate via one single user interface (UI) and end-users are thereby completely shielded regarding network selection. The end-user’s behaviour is unchanged regardless of the number of networks that are involved in any particular service session.

OptiMobile’s solution is following the 3GPP standard and is commercially available for voice communication applications (IMS/VCC). Superior end-user experience is OptiMobile’s primary concern and the solution is therefore highly influenced by feedback from the market, for example via feedback from various global operators. The solution can also be provided as a “light” version as a “pre-IMS/VCC” solution as well as an enterprise solution complementing existing company branch exchanges (IP PBX) with functionality for fixed-mobile convergence.
