OptiMobile's technology base rests on research that was initiated already in the mid 1990s by one of the founders of OptiMobile AB, Professor Per Gunningberg (Information Technology, Uppsala University). OptiMobile AB was founded in 2002 by Per Gunningberg, Mattias Hansson, Gösta Bergman, Pekka Hedqvist and Casp Technologies AB.
