OptiMobile was founded in 2002 by a group of leading individuals in the field of mobile technology and innovations. The key founders are:
·  Professor Per Gunningberg, professor of computer science (Information Technology) at Uppsala University
·  Gösta Bergman, lawyer with extensive industrial background from telecom and other industries as well as experience with early stage companies.
·  Mattias Hansson, IT and telecom entrepreneur
·  Pekka Hedqvist, IT and telecom expert
